Question I am a 39 year old female who for the last 10 consecutive days has had extreme pain and sensitivity in both of my breast.I have delt with these types of symptoms for the last 15 to 20 years of my life but only as an alert to my menstual cycle.Something has changed, for the last consecutive 10 days I have had sever pain, fever like heat and sever swelling in both breast.Being a bit uneasy with what my body is going threw I hade a new procedure called Thermography done but it really didn't releave ant dought I may have had and still do have. Can you please give me some kind of hope to what ma possibly be going on with my breast?
Answer Such symptoms rarely if ever have anything to do with breast cancer which is my area of expertise here. Without an examination we can not come any further. So I strongly suggest that you let your gynecologist check your breasts. My own previous (long ago - 30 years or so) experiences with Thermography (the technique is NOT new though it MAY be better developed now)have been quite disappointing. And I have NOT heard of any real advances with the use of thermography in breast cancer diagnostics.
