Breast Cancer/breast cancer

Question
dear Dr,
we want to ask you some questions about this matter.
first could you tell us about its symptoms? what're the things lead to this illness? and what medicines we use to cure it?
Finally, we send you our greets and thank.

Answer
Well, the first symptom is usually a lump in the breast (usually in a female breast though it rarely also happens in males). Sometimes it may start as a lesion in the nipple (it may look like a wound or an eczema there). However it can usually be found much earlier by regular mammographies - even long before any lump can be felt. Its causes are to a large part unknown though both genetic factors and sex hormones probably do play roles. Treatment is surgery, radiation therapy, chemotherapy and hormonal therapy. Often in combination. May I ask why you ask this question?
