HISTORY:
BASELINE SCREENING STUDY

TECHNIQUE:
Digital mammography is performed with CAD at our Vacaville site.
Bilateral MLO and CC images are acquired.

FINDINGS:
There is mild fibroglandular residual present bilaterally.

There is a well circumscribed nodular density in the outer
portion of the right breast. No other dominant masses, areas of
architectural distortion or suspicious microcalcifications are
identified.

IMPRESSION: We will obtain spot compression images as well as
ultrasound evaluation of the density marked in the right breast.

*   A negative report should not delay biopsy if a mass is
present.

**  15% of all breast cancers are not identifiable by
mammography.

BI-RADS CATEGORY 0 (Need additional Imaging Evaluation)

The Radiology Department will contact the patient to follow-up.

Answer
There is an area with increased density in the outer portion of your right breast. It does not look like a cancer but that is no guarantee. They need to take more pictures of it to be sure including ultrasound scans. I also suggest MRI breast scans and at least needle biopsies of this area to be as sure as possible. More can not be said at present. Good luck! Please do keep me posted!
