Breast Cancer/Biopsy ductal bleeding

Question
Hi Doctor,

Is it normal for me to still have bleeding from a punctured duct?

Here is the information:

I had a tumor biopsy on 1/28. The surgeon accidentally punctured a duct that is in or very near the tumor.  I had bleeding from the puctured duct out of my nipple. She was only able to get one sample because I started to bleed profusely because of the tumor's hypervasculation. The tumor sample was negative for cancer cells. It has since grown and now another smaller tumor has appeared 1.5 inches from the origional tumor toward my breastbone.

It is now 2/21 and if I squeeze the nipple, blood still comes out of the affected duct.

Is it normal to still have bleeding or is this a new symptom?

Answer
No it is not norma. Further surgery to stop it may be necessary. A new biopsy may also be necessary. Discuss this with your doctor. Good luck!
