Question
I have undergone right modified mastectomy on 28th January 2009. Histopathology was T2:3.6*3*2cm. Invasive duct carcinoma. Axillary nodes were involved. The hormonal receptors were ER+ PR+ and cerb B2+
Was given post operative chemotherapy 5Fluorouracil,Adriamycin&Cyclophosphamide 4 cycles followed by Docetaxels 4 cycles up to 10/9/2009.
then post operative radiotherapy from 6/11/2009 to 11/12/2009 - 50Gy/25Fr/36days.
Am on adjuvant Tab Tamoxifen10mg BD for 5years.
Bone density in done in Dec 2009-results -3 so take calcimax daily and Bonviva once a month.
Last year 2010 have had MRI of chest, ultra sound of left breast & abdomen. All results were clear. Nothing found.
Had bone scan before mastectomy in January 2009.-all clear.
What i am worried about is have done no bone scan last year was told as had MRI cannot go through a machine so soon. Will do it in June. is that ok? and what more tests do i have to do or what should i look out for? we don't have an oncologist in our town have to travel to the city. i live in third world country. I am very worried as there is no doctor to turn to when i get aches and pains

Answer
Yes that time in June is probably OK. At the moment there are no tests to be done. Well you are - as long I remain here (I'm already retired and have myself had radiation therapy for a prostate cancer and the clock is ticking for all of us, so also for me) you are always welcome to ask more questions here also with regards to "aches & pains"! Look out for any and every change from the ordinary - unless of course the change is very clearly just temporary.
