Question
I have been having this sore left breast for about 2 weeks now. It almost feels like before you have your cycle but is becoming more often painful. I am 42 never had a mammogram but they wont do one now that I have pain. I have read some of your responses and I am driving myself crazy right now and a million bad things are going through my mind. it hurts even to lay  or push my arm up against it. I just started having pain in the left are down to my elbow and suggestions or thoughts?
Thanks,
renea

Answer
Pain is hardly a prominent symptom in cases of breast cancer. A fibrocystic breast condition is far more probable. Well mammography is possible but less certain and definitely much more painful in this situation. But ultrasound and MRI breast scans are definitely possible to do! Let your doctor (for example your gynecologist) check you! You also should start having regular mammographies in order to avoid this kind of situation! Good luck! Please do keep me posted!
