Question
My recent routine Mammogram revealed a nodule which was not present last year. Radiologist suggested the need for further evaluation with an Ultra-Sound. He stated that it could be a cyst or a solid mass. My question: Can a nodule turn out to be cancer? I've had (2)biopsies performed on the same breast 4 years ago, but luckily it was calcification & benign. I have 2 markers that were put in with the biopsy. I scheduled an appointment with Breast Surgeon next week for complete evaluation! My concern about the outcome of this matter produces extreme anxiety!

Yes that is possible - but NOT sure! Suggest at least a needle biopsy of the lesion so we will KNOW what it is!
