Breast Cancer/palpable cyst

Question
During my self examination I felt a lump at 9 o'clock on my left breast. It is movable and painless, but after pulling and lifting throughout the day my left breast feels uncomfortable. I had a mammogram and an ultrasound of the left breast only and the findings were normal, which is a blessing.the only thing that it said was that this was a heterogeneous dense normal breast. my question is what could i be feeling in my breast and why is it uncomfortable, why wouldn't anything, not even a cyst have not shown up?

Answer
In order to be even more sure that there is nothing dangerous there you should demand a needle biopsy of the lesion you can feel. Such a biopsy can be guided by touch alone so it can be done in your case. Since your breasts are dense and therefore probably difficult to evaluate by mammography you should also demand MRI breast scans. Dense breast tissues often show up as palpable lesions and can often feel uncomfortable. Good luck!
