Question
Hello Dr. Nordquist,

My mom has breast cancer. She is at her stage 3 or 4, that it spreads to her throat and her bones. She couldn't take any chemo for the beginning few months until recently that her white blood cell went up. My questions are, 1) What kind of diet or food should she have that would be heathly? 2) As I, her only daughter is a few continents away from her, any way that would help a cancer patient to cheer up?

This was a TOUGH order! 1. There is no diet or food that in any way will influence a high stage breast cancer unfortunately! 2. I do not know your mother, you do. Cancer patients are the same individuals they were before the cancer, only now burdened with it. Also cancers are very much individuals, so though there are common traits of the same diagnosis there are also individual differences. The only advice I can give you is to use your knowledge of your mother to try to cheer her up! It may not be easy, but that is the only advice I can give you!
