Question
Oh please help Im scared witless with no one 2 talk to.
I have  just give up breast feeding about 3weeks ago and have discovered a scab type thing on my areola its about the size of a small coin and is raised and crusty on one side of the edge its very itchy, its weeping as well.  I think its been there for about 3 weeks. I went to a dr and she has given me antibiotics i also had a ultrasound done today in which he said ther was inflamation under the skin which coinsides with the skin lesion. Im 31 with 3 boys PLEASE GIVE ME SOME ADVISE . should I demand a biopsy..

Answer
Well at your age the risk of Paget's disease of the nipple is not big, but it is not 0 either. It is most probably something connected with your nursing. However to be on the safe side if it does not disappear within a week or so I think you should! Good luck!

Thanks! Mechanical damage & infection/inflammation.
