Breast Cancer/Pagets disease of the breast

Question
Hello,
I have a question about Pagets disease of the breast.  Can you
have this type of cancer when your only symptoms are itchiness
and a burning pain that comes and goes but has been ongoing
for 7 months.  It affects one nipple only but does not have any
flakiness or rash,  maybe only some white in the center of the
nipple.  It started 2 months after the end of breastfeeding.  I
dont know if it warrants a check with a doctor because the
affected nipple looks the same as the non affected one.  Thank
you for your time.
Kay

Answer
Without an examination it is impossible to say - even if you can not see anything! Probably it is not this particular condition, but I can not guarantee that. Since this obviously worries you and I can not check you I strongly suggest that you let a surgeon or a dermatologist or a gynecologist check you! Good luck!
