Question
Hi,
I have one month old baby who is exclusively breast feeding. From day one my one breast has been making more milk than the other one  due to which my baby is feeding more on this breast than other.I have found same changes in more milk making breast from last TWO days first is the "size of this breast has become smaller than the other one" and the "color of areola that was turned to dark brown during pregency has switched to almost same light brown pre pregnency color" and also the  "AREOLA that was spread in a larger area has been shrinked now".All these changes has happened in the breast that has been making more milk and so sucked more by baby. And the other one is making comparatively less milk has hardly undergone all these changes and is larger is size...i don't understand this differnce as i am a first time mom...please help!!
thanks

Answer
rest assured that all this is very normal. its normal for a baby to choose a side it likes better and will want to nurse more from that side and therefore that side will produce more as the baby nurses better from the side it likes more... you will notice the change in breast size most likely the first couple months and then as your milk supply is established, they will even out more and not have that all the time feeling full feeling... All the changes you said to me sound very normal as your breasts adjust to your milk supply. it just means baby is doing well and able to nurse effectively to establish your milk supply perfectly :)

I hope that helps! Good job on exclusively nursing!
