Question
hi just wondering if u can buy a gel or something to put on your nipples that tastes yuck to wean baby off the breast?
my son is 13 months and he wont give up on the breast, and he has teeth now OUCH

Answer
I've never heard of such a gel, but you can ask in your local pharmacy.  However I think that your baby might be trying to tell you that he is not ready for weaning yet.  With correct positioning your nipple should be far towards the throat away from his teeth. Try placing your nipple right above your son's nose as if you're having him smell it.  He'll open his mouth and lift his head up and try latching onto your breast.  He will look like he has a mouthful of your breast.  If he's latched correctly you will not feel as much pain if he decides to bite.
Good luck and keep me updated.
