AboutLoreena Walsh Expertise Whatever your breastfeeding question, I am happy to help. Worried about supply, engorgement, mastitis, attachment, nipple pain and soreness, whatever the worry you are not alone.
Experience I have successfully breastfed my 3 children until over 16 months of age. Through this I have experienced cracked blistered nipples, mastitis, attachement problems, weaning, self doubt and plenty of great memories and happiness. I love the benefits of breastfeeding for mother and baby adn believe that if more support were available for new mother's there would a greater breastfeeding success rate worldwide.
Education/Credentials I have worked in Maternity during my Bachelor of Nursing and am a strong advocate of breastfeeding, and support for mothers.

Question I took fenugreek to increase my supply and since then my baby has been real gassy and fussy. Could the fenugreek have caused reflux like symptoms in my baby? I stopped it after 2.5 days but that was only 2 days ago. How long til it's out of my systeM?
Answer Hi Pam,
Fenugreek has been known to affect some mother's and baby's with one of the main effects being gassy, unsettled baby's and sometimes a change in stools.
If fenugreek is the only change you made then it sounds possible it may be the culprit. You've done the right thing by stopping and it may take a few days for bubs to settle back down again although if it's been 2 days, it hopefully shouldn't be much longer before all is back to normal.
