Question
Hi, I had my period when my second son was 5 months old. With my older son, I had my period back when he was 9 months old. My older son wasn't sleeping through the night and nursed day and night, but my younger sleeps through the night and that is possibly why I had my period earlier. My concern is that the milk quality decreases when the mother gets her period back. Is this true? Is it less nutritious?

Answer
Hello,
I believe that it is true that you had your period earlier due to having to breast feed less.  Your milk supply might seem a little bit lower during your period but this would only last a few days and then it would get back to normal.  Don't worry, I believe that your baby will get as much nutrition as your older son had.
