Question
hello Ruth thankyou for taking the time to answer my question. my daughter is 2 and a half yrs and is still breastfeeding almost 24/7 she wants the breast all the time, my problem is how do i get her to stop playing with the other nipple when ever she is feeding it is driving me crazy as it really gets under my skin and really hurts, im almost wanting to wean because of this she also still sleeps with me, i love her so much i just dont have the heart to wean as she loves it so much but the playing with the nipple is just driving me crazy. please help me thankyou in advance.

Answer
You have to either get something that distracts her otherwise , and break her habit. it sounds like a habit now that she is 2.5. You have to tell her and stick to it, nipples are for nursing only.  they make nursing necklaces that are for this exact problem. but putting anything around your neck that she can play with, hand make with her a beaded necklace that is fancy and ONLY for while nursing and see if she will play with that instead :)

hold your arm in front of your other nipple while she nurses so she doesnt even see it as an option...
