Breastfeeding/sticky poop

Question
my breastfed 6 weeks old baby has very strange poop these day. his poop are yellow but less watery, more dry and sticky. he grunts a lot and pass a lot of gas.
is there any concern?

Answer
This is very normal. At 6 weeks, the colostrum leaves the milk ( which acts like a laxative, ) so now that it is gone, the baby has to use his own muscles to poop , hence the grunting and gas, and helps the baby learn to control muscles so that he doesnt go while sleeping and eventually potty train. they can go 10 days without pooping too. That is all normal :)
