Breastfeeding/Seems like my supply is dwindling...

QuestionMy daughter is 3 and a half months old, I am exclusively breastfeeding. When she was born she was 21 inches and 7 lbs 16 oz. At her 2 month check-up she was 21 3/4 inches long and 13.12 lbs. She was off the charts for her weight, which was good. She does not go into the doctor until the end of this month, and I have just been feeling very empty lately, and she seems to be eating more often, so I am thinking that maybe she isn't getting enough in one feeding. I weighed her today on my scale and she was 15.2 lbs, which means she only gained approx 1 lb in a month and a half. Why would my supply be dwindling, I feed her about every 2-3 hours during the day, and at night she usually sleeps for at least 6 hours straight. I haven't pumped recently because I don't want to empty them out anymore than they already are for her next feeding. I was thinking of trying the lactation cookies or some remedy like that...What would you suggest?
AnswerYour supply isnt dwindling. The body normally will regulate the breasts so they get soft and "normal" after a few months. you will likely feel a little full in the morning, but not FULL like you did the first couple months. Your daughter is nursing exactly as she is suppose to. your breasts have just adjusted. this is a good thing :) yeah! Sounds like the baby mastered nursing and is doing well...
congrats to you both :)
