Breastfeeding/long period

Question
I have a boy that is almost 8 months old and I'm still breast feeding about 3 times a day.
I got my period back, but they have been very long lasting for 12 days so far. It is a light period but constant and with some dark clots. Do you know if this is normal?
My skin is also very bad with break outs.
Any idea?

Answer
it seems as though your body is struggling adjusting to the hormonal changes. in which there isnt a whole lot you can do other than make sure you are eating balanced and getting excercise  as both of these help balance hormones.  it should get better with time and if it doesn't I w ould contact your doctor.
