Question
Hello, I had my baby 4 weeks ago through C-Section. Since then, I am having difficulty breast feeding my baby. I took some time recovering during which I was informed that it will take some time before I can have good amount of milk for my baby. Now its been 4 weeks and I can produce only 4-5 ounces a day. I have to supplement my child's diet with a formula and it really breaks my heart!!! I am using a breast pump, but even it does seem to help. Can you please help me by suggesting some techniques which will help me increase the supply? I will really appreciate all your help.
Thanks.

Answer
You need to nurse more often and pump more often. you can take fenugreek or mothers milk tea to help also. but it is best done by supply and demand. You can stop bottles and get a supplimental nursing system and suppliment formula through this while the baby nurses from  you. this will help build supply in you and also feed the baby . then pump after each feed.  you can go to www.drjacknewman.com to see videos on the sns.

good luck!
