Breastfeeding/Pain in breast

Question
Hi, I am still breastfeeding my one year old son twice a day - once when he wakes up in the morning and once at night. I have loved breastfeeding my son and am pleased to still be able to offer him these feeds. I do not seem to produce that much milk now and my breasts never feel very full, but I think this is fine and my body is just making enough for him. This morning I developed a pain in my left breast, which feels like it is under my nipple. I have had mastitis before and do not recognise it as the same feeling. Are there any other conditions which I should be thinking about? Many thanks.

Answer
if there was a burn along with it, you might want to watch for yeast if you have recently been on antibiotics or had a yeast infection. other than that, theres not much else it could be other than maybe a hormonal shift that will be short lived as your body changes  its hormonal needs. And you are correct that it is very normal to not have that sensation of fullnes anymore :)

hope that helped!
