Question
i am breastfeeding my 7months baby and would like to continue until 10months.My problem is that i want to leave the baby and travel for 5days and will like to continue breastfeeding immediately after 5days and my question is this, can my breast sour if i don't breastfeed for days, is it still safe for baby, will i still be producing enough milk as usual, what are the implication of this?,please advice me.

Answer
you would need to pump while you are gone to provide milk for the baby, the milk can be refrigerated with no problem or loss of nutrients for 8 days. and the milk inside you will not go away, but you need to pump while you are gone too or your milk supply will decrease and you will get engorged which could be very painful while you are away .

good luck and enjoy your vacation!
