Question
my daughter is nine months old. i would like to start weaning her from breastfeeding during the day. i drive to daycare twice a day to feed her. she does not take anything but me. she does kinda take her sippy cup with juice. but mostly she just plays with it, and doesn't get enough fluids. she doesn't like the taste of formula. the only thing i have gotten her to drink from her sippy cup is grape pedialite. do you have any input for me?

Answer
she is fine while at day care and her juice in a sippy cup. Dont worry about dehydration if you nurse her in the evening when you get home. you can wean slowly, one feeding every other week, and what she doesnt get during the day, she will nurse more or a bit longer when she sees you at night.   As she continues with juices, pedialyte or waterd down apple juice etc... shell get better at the sippy and do well. You can also have them give her things like apple sauce  , high in water content, in place of the nursing.

good luck!
