Breastfeeding/breast milk

Question
It seems like my breast milk is drying up. I work in the morning so while at work i try to pump every hour and a half to 2 hours. When I am home, I do not pump I just nurse my daughter. When pumping,i would normally get 2oz out of one side and 1-1.5 from the other side. Here lately I haven't been getting much of anything. It is taking me almost 20-25 minutes just to get 2-3oz. What can I do?

Answer
You can take a herbal suppliment called fenugreek, or a tea called mothers milk tea, those will often help increase milk supply. if your baby is over 6 months old you can also give a little bit of baby juice to help make up for the lower milk production. Whena  baby nurses, they are most often more efficient than the pump ever dreamed of and the longer ( over months ) you pump the more likely it is to decrease supply... Plus after 6 months the baby drinks a little less and eats more... but if before 6 months you can try those herbs and see what happens.

good luck!
