Question
I had a baby a little over a month ago and been brestfeeding and pumping every 2-3hours but I stopped pumping for about two weeks and tried to feed her on my own but I wasn't making enough milk to get her full so I started brestfeeding and giving her formula but she's drink more formula than brestmilk soi started pumping again but when I was pumping before I was making about 4 ounces everytime I pumped now I only making about 2 ounces somtimes less.is there a way I can make more milk to stop giving her formula

Answer
you can take mothers milk tea and fenugreek, pump every 2 hours for at least a week and nurse the baby as often as possible. You can also get a sns system so you don't give the baby any more bottles to avoid nipple confusion and give any supplimental fluid (breastmilk pumped first ) while the baby nurses. you can often get this from a lactation consulatant. I also suggest going to see a concultant and letting her watch the baby latch to make sure that the baby is nursing efficiently.

good luck!
