Breastfeeding/8 week old baby not feeding well

Question
I have a 8 week old baby girl and she only drinks 2 oz per feed and isn't putting on a lot of weight, but she hasn't lost any. The midwifes keep telling me that she needs to drink more but she just won't. I've taken her to the doctors and he said that she isn't unwell so there is no reason why she shouldn't be drinking more. Is there anything I can do to encourage her to drink more?

Answer
not really... just offer whenever she wants it. if you are nursing her , she will get all she needs. just nurse as often as possible. different babies drink different amounts. If she stops gaining at all, or doesnt meet developmental milestones then you need to go back to the doctor.

good luck~!
