Question
I want to know if it's ok for me to pump my front milk set it aside and lit my 10 week old get to the hind milk better. She was a month early and is still having problems eating so I want her to get the best stuff that she can with as hard as she works. I keep the front stuff and give it to her when she seams to be getting mad. My mother in law says that it's not a good thing to do so I told her I would check it out and make a disision. So is it a good or bad idea? I just want her to get the good stuff you know.

Answer
She should get everything she needs by nursing from you so you dont really have to do the extra work. It isnt going to hurt anything by doing it the way you are, or by stopping... but it isnt going to change too much either. If you are going to pump like that, I would reccomend  that you pump and then let her nurse, and then FEED her what you pumped. Not through a bottle though. use a syringe with no needle or eye dropper . Get more food into her until she is growing at a better rate, then in a few weeks you can wen from pumping...

good luck!
