Question
Good evening Ruth! :)
I'm a first time Mommy of a beautiful 7-1/2 month old baby girl, Faith. I've been strictly breast feeding since day one, and I've noticed that my milk supply is getting really low. I want to continue to nurse Faith as long as I can. My ultimate goal was to nurse her until she was a year old.
How can I increase my milk supply so that I can achieve my goal? Please help!

Thanks so much! Have a blessed night!
Jacque

Answer
I wonder what is making you feel that your milk supply is low... if it is any of the following, chances are  its not low... it just seems like it. If your baby is not nursing as long as she used to , or shes pulling at your breasts like they are rubber deflated balloons, or if you dont feel as full as you used to, then you have no need to fear. this is a normal response as time goes by and the body adjusts to having milk. There is also no reason that your  body would suddenly no longer make enough milk after all this time unless there has been a good period of time that you have stopped nursing or gave suppliments too often. If the baby is having wet diapers and dirty diapers on her normal routine, then you are doing FABULOUS!   and there is no reason to add something else to your routine. if those aren't the case, please do write me back :)
