Question
I am just wondering whether breastmilk is enough fluids at this point, I try to get my baby to drink juice but now she whacks the bottle of cup away completely, just want the breast. When is it essential they get water as well? Miki

Answer
No the baby doesnt need water or juice. Breastmilk is 80 percent water, so that is all the water the baby needs. You can nurse until a year with no suppliments and the baby be fine with no issue. If she doesnt want fluids you can offer solids like fruits and veggies. When she is ready she will take them. Until then, breastmilk is all she needs :)
