Breastfeeding/Pregnant while breastfeeding

Question
I saw a similar post asking about the possibilities of getting pregnant while exclusively b-feeding.  My three month old is exclusively bf.  I stopped pp bleeding at about 3 weeks.  I received my first pp period during month 2 and had unprotected sex a couple weeks after that.  My periods have ALWAYS been consistent.  Have also had one negative test result at 2 weeks late, a lot of backache lately, really sore nipples while bf, same type of morning sickness as first pregnancy.  Is it possible that bf makes periods irregular? Is it possible my negative test result is wrong b/c of my bf hormones?  Thanks!

Answer
Yes, breastfeeding can make hormones irregular. This is very common.  And yes, its possible the test was d one a little too early making it wrong.  its much more unlikely to get a false positive. So, to be on the safe side, I would test again in a week and see what happens.

Good luck!
