Breastfeeding/is taking antibiotics safe while breastfeeding?

Hi
My baby is a premature baby.he born in 28 weeks 4 days.now he is one month old,still he is in NICU.

My worries is

Last week i had fever(102F to 101F) so currently i am taking antibiotics tables for every six hours.

THE CAPSULE NAME IS:DICLOXACILLIN SODIUM 500MG CAPSULE
THE GENERIC NAME IS:DYNAPEN

can i give breast milk to my baby?
This capusule cause any side effect to my baby?

Pls help me.i am waiting yr answer. i am worring much b'cas my baby is very tiny and premature.

Most medications are fine to take while nursing. the benefit of the breastmilk far outweighs most side effects for the baby in most medications. especially in preemies. I don't know every medication so I suggest you check with www.safefetus.com and look up the medication there or call a lactation consultant directly as I cannot give medical advice. however, if it isnt conductive to nursing, get a different rx for a antibiotic. there are plenty out there to get.  

Good luck! breastmilk is best especially for preemies! I know! I had one too!
