Question
hi ruth,

I breastfed my daughter until 23 november 2009 when she was 19 mothes..now she has just completed 21..just wanted to know if it is necessary for me to breastfeed her and for how long ??secondly..she has started to demand for the boob since the last 5 days..I noticed that when I squeeze my breasts..I still get a couple of drops...the question here is can i establish my milk flow again...can i start breastfeeding???

Answer
You can breastfeed her as long as you and her want. Babies wean naturally around 3-5 years old. If you still have milk and she is wanting to nurse, then let her nurse if you want. Your milk will come back to what she wants or she will lose interest. that is called self weaning.

Good luck:)
