Question
Hello,
I am a mother of a 1.5 year old. at 10 months I started weaning him slowly taking 1 feeding away at a time till he was 1 week shy of his 1st bday and that is when he stopped nursing. It has been 10 days now and I am still leaking through my bra. The 1st 5 days I had no pain, engorgement or anything. Day 6 my breasts started to hurt a little. Day 7 they were hard so I would express just enough to ease it. I am very active at work and can't keep cold compresses on.  Is this normal to continue leaking after 10 days of no nursing? Is it because I nursed so long and exclusively with my son? I dried up within 3 or 4 days. I am afraid that I will get mastisis because I keep getting a few knots. Of course I massage them out, then I leak and I know the more stimilantion, that it can cause your body to produce. Any help would be great!  Thank you

Answer
you can put fresh cabbage leaves inside your bra to help decrease the milk. You can also drink sage tea or put sage tea bags on your breasts as well. this creates a chemical reaction that decreases milk.

Hopefully those 2 things will help!

Good luck!
