Question
I have a 1.5 year old I still breastfeed very little but still do. i have noticed my nipples are very sore and pink and erect. The rest of my breast is fine, its just my nipples and it last for awhile before he latches on to the latch then it goes away till he is off of it again. Does anyone else share this problem? Its not like I nurse through the whole day every 2 hours and he is latching on right. Please if you have any comments or answers i would really appreciate it. Thank you so much...

Although I am not a DR. it sounds to me as though you have a yeast infection in your nipples. If you google breast yeast  or thrush and breast , check out the symptoms and see if that is what it seems like you have. if so, you have to treat you and the baby until its gone. there are many ways to do so which should also be outlined in any information you may find :)

I cannot diagnose but send you in the direction I think you may want to go :)
