Question
My daughter has blisters on her nipples. Does the blisters keep the colostrume from coming out?

Answer
Yes, the baby will still get colustrum. However, if she has blisters, is means the baby isnt latched right. It will continue to get worse if she doesnt get that latch fixed to the point where they can crack and bleed. She can still nurse but it will be quite painful. SO, I suggest calling the hospital and being seen by the lactation consultant. If that isnt an option, go to www.llli.org and call them to find a local group who will see you in person for free.

Good luck!
