Question
How often should I be feeding my 9 week daughter? How can I know if the milk in one breast is finished and if I should switch? Right now I let her feed on one breast for as long as she wants but she still seems hungry after an hour. Also she doesnt seem to latch on properly on one side sometimes is that normal?

Answer
Hello, I think how you are nursing is fine. Nurse on one side until she is done. when she is done, offer the other side. If she takes it good :) if not, no big deal. She could be going through a growth spurt if she is hungry after an hour, but it also could be she just likes to nurse. Baies know how to follow their bodies lead and eat when is best for them. Some snack all day, others eat larger meals. there is nothing wrong with any of it. It is just personality. As long as she is having at least 6 wet diapers a day, you know she is getting enough.

Babies also tend to pick a side that is the favorite side, where they nurse better, it makes more milk on that side, and baby tends to like it better. that is very normal too :) Still nurse on that side, she will get better with time. ;)

I hope that helped!
