Breastfeeding/breastfeeding an eight month old

Question
hi there,

I was just reading some breastfeeding advice suggesting a lady should take a break and just spend 24 - 48 hours in bed with her 8 month old baby. I assume it was a typo and the woman answering the question thought that the asker meant 8 weeks. I have an eight month old and there is no way she would spend any where near that amount of time in bed. She wants to explore and crawl around not just cuddle her mummy and stay in one place.

Answer
I would imagine that you are correct and it was a mistake with the 8 week vs 8 month. Keeping an 8 month old in bed all day would be quite something. HA HA HA ! however, if you are finding the desire to spend that kind of time with the baby, then do so, you dont have to just lay in bed, but interact all day and connect... at 8 months, it doesnt usually take that much  but go with that which feels best to you! :)

Good luck!
