Question
hello sir
i am having 2 month old baby boy exclusively on breast milk, now its time for me to get back to work,i am keenly interested in breast fed only,my timings are 7am-1noon,i don't know about the expressing milk and storing of milk, please let me know about the following question and other information related to that
1..when i need to express  the milk?
2..my working timings are of 6 hours, so when should i express the milk

3.. give me the schedule of expressing and storing of milk in such a way that it wont affect my supply of milk
4.. what should i do for increasing milk supply
one plan is in my mind that is after breast feeding at 6a.m i will express the milk but will this sufficient to my baby for 6 hours,or i need to express in the night, how many days the breastmilk willbe store?

Answer
If you feed the baby right before work, then you should only need to express milk about 3 hours later, about 10 am. then you get off work at 1 pm so you can go right home and nurse the baby. You should only have to express that one time while away from the baby.  Use that milk for the following day for the care taker who is watching the baby.  This should be easy to maintain your milk supply with this schedule. If you want to increase your output, you can take metamucil ( extra fiber ) which will help build supply up and thus you'll get more milk. Or if you have enough time in the morning, pump when you first get up and then nurse the baby before you leave for work or when you drop the baby with the care provider. If you put the milk in the refrigerator, it will be good for 8 days, if you put it in your freezer it will be good for 3-6 months. put it towards the back of the freezer and it should last 6 months.
I hope that helped!
