Breastfeeding/newborn screams when placed on his left side to feed from right breast

Question
My daughter-in-law just gave birth to her first baby. He was delivered by C-section. He will latch on and feed from her left breast, but when she tries to feed him from the right breast, he screams like he is in pain. She holds him football style, so when he is feeding from the right breast he is on his left side. I am concerned that there maybe a problem.

Answer
Its very possible because a section is considered traumatic birth for a newborn, the way they are pulled and tugged and jarred from side to side that something was pulled. I would suggest you take the baby to a chiropractor that works specifically with newborns and have things put back in place. This is often very helpful if there is something going on when pain is concerned. Most people don't realize how traumatic sections are too babies :(

I hope things get better!
