Breastfeeding/breastfeeding 4 month old

Question
Hi there,
My daughter is 4 1/2 months old and is now sleeping all the way through the
night (usually about 7pm - 7am). This seems great, of course, but now I am
usually only feeding her 5 times a day. Is this enough for a 4 1/2 month old?
Also, when I do leave a bottle for her and the babysitter, what is the right
amount for a baby her age? I usually only get between 2.5 -3.5 oz when I
pump and I am starting to worry that is not enough. But, it seems like it
should be since I pump just as long or longer than my daughter usually
breastfeeds.

Thanks for any help you can offer!
Katie

Answer
yes, typically what you are pumping is enough for one feeding of a 4 month old. If she is sleeping through the night, then she is getting enough during the day. If she does need more during the day she will nurse longer.  Sometimes, babies are far more efficient that any pump ever dreamed of being! If you want to increase supply just for your own piece of mind, you can try taking metamucil or a high fiber diet as this often helps increase milk supply .

I hope that helped!
