Question
I have a 4 mth old and at 2 months we both were treated for thrush it now seems to have returned on my nipples(it only seemed to go away for about a day) I would now like to try gentian violet but now can i prevent the staining and where should i get it and now often do i use it?

Answer
I have not known anyone who has been able to prevent the staining of gentian violet. You can get it from a health food store like whole foods or any kind of organic type store. When you go to purchase it they can tell you how much you should take. I am not able to give medical advice.

A few other ways to help get the yeast under control is limit sugar intake as much as possible, take pro biotics to help limit the yeast growth, olive oil seems to help some mothers as well. Treating the baby and you again will be needed as well.

I hope that helped!
