Question
My baby is 4 months old. Ive breastfeed my other 3 kids for a year each. With my 4 month old she eats every 30mins to an hour. She eats for 10mins then throws up. Ive spoke with the doctors but they say as long as shes gaining weight shes fine. My question is, am I maken enough milk? To me she eats so much and I dont have time to clean, cook or play with my other children. Do you have any sujestions?

Answer
Yes, you are making enough milk. Your doctor is correct with his idea. As long as she is on target, there is nothing to worry about. It is her personality that wants to nurse in the manor she does. Every baby is quite different. So , that being said, the best suggestion I have would be to limit her to nurse maybe once an hour for a few days. Then back it up to an hour and a half. then a few days later stretch it to 2 hours. and see how she does. distract her with things after she nurses. this will let her hunger grow for a while before she nurses and hojpefully will help her have a bigger meal. You want to do it slowly as your breasts make milk for small frequent meals. slowly will be the best way for success.
