Question
i have read that you shouldn't drink milk while nursing. would it be better to drink skim milk during this time? i like a nice glass of milk every once in a while but am afraid to drink it. we usually drink skim i change during my pregnancy. my baby is naturaly gassy he was gassy the day he was born. i only drank water after he was born and did so for the first 3 weeks i now will drink decaf ice tea and water and some times a decaf soda. but i would like to know how it would effect things if i drink skim milk once a day??

Answer
Many women can drink milk fine while nursing. Some babies have an allergic reaction to it and become fussy. Try the milk and see if the baby gets fussy. If so, then stop for a while longer and try again in a month or two. If the baby doesn't get more fussy then you know it is fine to drink the milk. Not everyone has the problem.

good luck!
