Breastfeeding/milk supply

Question
How can I tell if my son is getting enough milk. He just turned 5 months on Friday. Is currently teething and prior to this last week had been sleeping from 8-5 :-) however now is up anywhere from every 2-3 hours I've tried oral gel teething tabs Tylenol teething rings and can't seem to sooth him unless he is on the breast. he is fine during the day just seems to struggle at night. I feel so lost he is my 4th child and this is the worst teething if thats it. I nursed all my other children with no issues so not sure what to do?
Thank you for any and all help!!

Answer
It certainly sounds like teething to me. You can try to use rescue remedy for kids which is natural for him  and may help relax him. It is not likely that your milk supply suddenly decreased for no real reason. You can know he is getting enough if he has 4-6 wet diapers a day and he is acting normal, other than the fussiness. If he is on target developmentally, then he is also getting enough. It sounds like a horrible sensitive case of teething :(  Hopefully it wont last too long for you ! and him!!!
