Question
Hi i didnt really latch baby on and only tried to pump a few times (not much milk) and have stopped totally till now. Regretted not giving her breast milk, is it possible for me to have milk flow again? I have just started to take Fenugreek for the 2nd time each time i take 2 capsules. When i tried to pump there is only few drops and it looks like white color, but when left a while it seems like it changed color to yellowish (when feel it is a bit of sticky and very oily feel), is it okay for me to latch baby on now? Or have to pump till it is not sticky yellowish oily anymore? But my 2nd try to pump, my left breast seems to dry up..is there still any hope? My baby seems to be allergy to cow's milk as she passes stools with streaky of blood followed by alot more blood, but once we change her fomula to soy, her poo with blood stopped and now her poo is in Green sticky form, is this normal? Do i need to avoid all dairy foods in order to breastfeed her? Please kindly advise, tks!!

Answer
You can try to get your milk to come back in. Offer the breast and see if she takes it, pump every 1-2 hours every day and take mothers milk tea and the fenugreek and see if that helps build it up. You got a few drops so that will be helpful as it is still there. It will take much time and patience to get it back to where it needs to be as the first 6 weeks are when your milok is the most plentiful. It will take time, but you can do it for sure.

babies poop varies with formula and how they digest it. but it might be a good idea to avoid dairy while nursing or at least weaning it into your diet after your milk is established to see how she tolerates it.
