Breastfeeding/Ink contamination?

Question
Odd question- I've been storing my breast milk in Medela brand milk storage bags and have been writing the date on the bag in Sharpie (over the milk). I recently heard about potential "ink contamination." Do I need to discard all of this breast milk? Is ink contamination a true concern? Thank you~ K.C.

Answer
I have never heard of ink contamination from bags like medela. They make a good quality product. If there was a harm that was known , they would have recalled the bags. You can go to medelas website to find out about any recalls that may exist.

Good luck!
