Breastfeeding/Storage of Expressed Milk

Question
I have a 7 weeks old baby girl and I am interested in expressed milk for her feedings. Can I store the milk in the feeding bottles that she will be using? Or do I have to use a different plastic container and the pour into the feeding bottles when needed? This will be at room temperature and also refrigeration.

Thanks so much,
Marsha.

Answer
You can store freshly expressed milk at room temp for 8 hours. Once it is refrigerated it needs to stay refrigerated until you want to use it. you can store it in anything that you want to.

Once refrigerated you can store it up to 8 days in the refrigerator or frozen for up to 6 months at the back of the freezer.  once thawed it must be used within 24 hours.
