Breeding and Showing Cats/cat miscarriage

Question
Hi I dont know if you can help but my cat is about 30 days pregnant, but three days ago she had a miscarriage and lost four kittens. She is fine and eating/drinking and just being her normal self.My question to you is;can she still have live kittens inside her still because I am certain she has more in there.

Answer
Hi Jason
It is possible that your cat is still pregnant. Cats can have litters up to 8 or 9 kittens so there still could be more there. I would suggest you take her down to your veterinarian for an ultrasound scan or xray, your veterinarian would be best placed to decide which was best. The check will confirm the presence of other foetuses.
