Question
I've got a problem of identifying my cat breed. I've gotten her from a person I met that have no time to take care of her. I was hoping to let it have baby of the same breed if possible but...I can't seem to find our her breed.

I have a few picture of her here. She has quite short bushy tail and her hair is soft and long. She's white and grey...yeah :D

Hope you can help... thanks :D

Answer
Hi Soely

It is never easy to tell from a picture and a lot of people think they have a pedigree when in reality the cat is probably a cross breed.

Your cat may have a touch of Siberian Forest Cat in her but she is not a full Siberian.  Other than that I cannot see any similarity to a full pedigree cat so you may find she is not.

I would just enjoy her without undertaking the perils of breeding which are many.

Marcia.

Expertise

I can give answers on cat breeding and showing having 'served' over 30 years in this particular field. I head up a Yahoo Group and also a cat club (NBA Cat Club) devoted to educating novices in the correct way to breed, and also show with both GCCF and TICA on a regular basis, and am well versed with the show world, having been involved in the management of the major GCCF Supreme Show in the UK for over 25 years. Genetics however is not my strong point.
