Question
how do i knonw if my cat is in labour??

what will the contractions look like???

if she is due any day now and is the size os a huge watermellon how many babies do you think she will have??

Answer
She will probably have a 'show' which will be a watery pink discharge and contractions will start anything up to 24 hours later.  You will see her sides squeezing when contractions start.

I wouldn't like to comment on how many she will have as each cat is individual and natures does have to keep some secrets :-)

Expertise

I can give answers on cat breeding and showing having 'served' over 30 years in this particular field. I head up a Yahoo Group and also a cat club (NBA Cat Club) devoted to educating novices in the correct way to breed, and also show with both GCCF and TICA on a regular basis, and am well versed with the show world, having been involved in the management of the major GCCF Supreme Show in the UK for over 25 years. Genetics however is not my strong point.

Experience
